A treasure trove of NPC's and other's favorite characters. Use them and abuse them, they are here to give yourWOP a bit of flavor.
Writing SLA novels and stories has been a great joy for the last several years. I have one more to go before I decide whether or not I'll do anything else in this setting. Posted here is the first part of what will likely be a book to rival "Shiv" in length.
While the Domino Dog and Grit are counted as relative successes in Karma's eyes the designers of the company always strive to outdo themselves. One up-and-comer proposed the concept that there was still a niche to be filled in Stormers to help 'pacify' the Cannibal Sectors. While the Domino Dog excelled at close combat, it had no range advantage, and while the Grit could dominate in both ranged and close quarters combat, it was heavily reliant upon equipment to maintain this advantage.

Typical comm chatter between three Spites
Seen as almost a throwback to the older design of the Malice, but with upgrades and techniques created with the Xeno. The Spite is blessed with an enhanced central nervous system with some nerves widened to produce faster movements and reaction times during the short, intense bursts of activity that they are noted for. Other nerves are "hard-wired" to create permanently open combative reflex arcs, while others are altered so as to diminish the pain Spite feel.

Ah, Necanthrope Jekyll. I've been meaning to get around to creating him as an actual character, and then using him as a regular NPC in a gaming situation. Lets see... His personality is one of someone fighting for control. While his Hyde persona is a Soul Weave, he also divides his emotions quite clearly between his two minds. Jekyll is a creature of fear and knowledge. He is one of the greatest minds in Dark Lament, and has been accumulating information about all sorts of subjects for centuries.
Here's a slew of Frother character ideas, some of them more fleshed out than others. All of them are intended to get away from the notion of "just another lunatic with a claymore." They range from the traditional with slight modifications to the bizarre, some of which may not fit with different people's conceptions of the Frother. It's up to any GM's or player's, obviously, as to whether these validly work for you in your games. Consider this the result of a brainstorming session about what you might do with a Frother character to spice it up.

The following backgrounds are predominately for Humans. Each one replaces the starting skills and 150 points of the 300 points normally used for creation. Only one background can be chosen, due to the specific points cost. With slight modification, Frothers, Ebons and Brain Wasters could also use these backgrounds.
